Mood: thoughtful
Music: Florence & the Machine - No Light, No Light

Anki vocabulary review: 1 hour
Listening (dialogues and two stories from unit 5, plus workbook: listen, repeat, imitate, translate, listen another two times): 50 minutes
Transcription (3 dialogues and 1 story from unit 4): 1 hour 10 minutes
Pimsleur day 9: 30 minutes
Total: 3.5 hours

I seem to be approaching burn out. I've completed over half of the textbook in slightly over two weeks without taking a day off. I understand the grammar and the vocab and I am able to apply everything to my own conversations and examples (admittedly, it generally takes a moment or two to remind myself of some of the grammatical constructions). I also divided up each unit with a total of 50 minutes of exercise.

I think it's time for a "mid-term" break and a reconsideration of my study habits. Tomorrow I will only review vocabulary and do the Pimsleur - no book work. The last couple of days I've found it difficult to make myself study, so I need this break. I also don't know if some of my study habits are necessarily the wisest. For example - should I even bother with transcribing? Is it going to help my listening/comprehension skills, or should I drop it? Is it too early to tell? (Interesting, I did poorly on the three dialogues and very well transcribing the story today. A reverse from usual.) I also think I might want to start studying in the mornings instead of in the afternoons. Getting it out of the way early will leave more time to relax later in the day.

A day off will be beneficial.

Oh, and I've managed to follow along to the entirety of Bobby Kim's version of 사랑사랑사랑. I am ready for the noraebang! Yessss!
