I slept 7.5 hours last night! So pleased. I'm tired now but I intend on going to bed at 10pm again so that doesn't matter. This morning I went to FedEx and sent my background checks to the sketchy apostille courier in Virginia for next-day delivery. Let's hope this works out.

Viewing entertainment in your language of choice is a wise idea when you want to learn a language. However, in spite of my desire to learn Korean, I've had trouble becoming interested in Korean dramas and music. Sure, I like some Korean movies and songs, but overall I find them all... well, shallow. I don't really like chick flicks and that's Korean TV at its finest. I don't like ballads and that's 50% of Korean music. It's an issue.

I watched episode 1 of Coffee Prince (커피프린스 1호점) today. It's a romance but it is well known for being one of the best dramas in Korean TV history. In spite of my skepticism I enjoyed the first episode a lot. I laughed out loud several times and I found myself engaged in the action. Although I am concerned because I already know the ending of the series and being well aware of Korea's attitude toward homosexuality I think it has the potential to be, well, awful. We'll see. On a positive note, I understood quite a few words in the drama. Not everything, but a lot. Improvement. :)
