I can't breathe

What a ridiculously epic night. It started as drinks at my place - very low key and kind of dull - then Jodi, Diana, and I went downtown. Straight to Bubble Bar (ugh).

Diana and I made friends with a Korean guy... he commented on a group of gay Koreans at a table - strangely perceptive for a Korean, although he did live in the US for a few years. We three danced together and eventually I found my balls and introduced myself to the gaggle of gays. They brought me into their fold and we drank and danced at Bubble Bar for a few hours. Then we moved to Mix and stayed until close... then we went to a noraebang. I got home at 7am.

Absolutely ridiculous. Absolutely amazing. My goal of becoming friends with Korean gays seems to be happening. Very exciting. The only issue is that only one of the four lives in Gwangju, the rest live in Seoul. Sigh. But hey, I can work with this.

I am so jealous whenever you write about going out! I live in this tiny town of about 4000 so there is nothing like that here. But at least finally a girl my age moved here.

Oooh I wish we could go out together! It would be absolutely epic. Come to Korea.... we have cookies!
I'm glad a girl your age moved there! Does she go to the school or is she just staying in town?

mmmm..cookies are yummy..there is definitely more cake in Germany than cookies. But unfortunately I don't think I can afford to come :-( But if you ever decide to come to Europe during one of your breaks, I would totally meet up with you in a bigger city.

This girl is the intern from Azerbaijan the school hired - the reason I had to move to a new building and now have to work with little kids. So far she's nice. I'll have to hang out with her this weekend more. But she's only planning on staying until February so hopefully the person to take her place will be younger as well.

Admittedly, the cookies here might have corn or other interesting (yet weird) shit in them, but they are relatively delicious. I don't know if I'll ever make it to Europe during a break, unfortunately..... but maybe.....

Ahh, that makes sense. Why couldn't she work with the younger kids again? Because her German wasn't good enough? Hopefully you'll continue getting along with her :)

She can understand some German but she can't speak it at all. And now she told me today that she's only staying until Christmas. Hopefully someone nice will take her place.
