I haven't been updating much lately, have I? Must do something about that.

Okay, so my dad has been sick all week. Turns out he got an infection following his biopsy last week. He's had a fever since Monday. He's getting a little better. Also, he doesn't have cancer (again)! Exciting. On a related note, Mischa (my sick cat) seems to be feeling better as well. She isn't eating at her normal rate yet and she's vomiting a bit, but overall she's doing okay. Gotta be optimistic.

I leave for Korea in five days. I'm incredibly unprepared. I haven't learned Korean, I haven't started packing yet, and I don't know what happens once I arrive at the airport in Korea. (I asked my recruiter and he hasn't responded back yet. This was a week ago.)

On the other hand, today I went through my closet in search of dressy-ish clothing - polo shirts, sweaters, that sort of thing. I wasn't expecting much because I tend to only wear t-shirts. However, I managed to find some old clothing from the last time I was skinny. I fit into some shirts that have never fit before! Very exciting. Turns out I have more polos than I thought I did. And khakis. And jeans. I still need to get a few more shirts, but beyond that I'm pretty much good to go. Surprisingly.

Here are some songs & music videos I dig right now:

These New Puritans - We Want War
fucking love this video + song. Absolutely epic.
These New Puritans - Elvis
see above. This band kicks so much ass. Can't wait for their new album!
Chromeo - Night By Night
I dare you to listen to this and not dance. TRIPLE DOG DARE YOU.
The xx - Shelter
Ladyhawke - Paris Is Burning
a little late to the party, but w/e. the chorus is hot.
Yeasayer - Ambling Alp
big YEA for YEASAYER. officially one of my favorite bands EVAR. I can't wait for their upcoming album.
