No news about Korea, but Dr. J has agreed to write a recommendation letter for me. Once I receive the recs in the mail I'll be able to submit my (already completed) EPIK application.
I mentioned in my last entry that if I don't have a job by the end of the year, I will go back to school. In the mean time I'm going to self-study Geology, Geography, and Algebra/Trig/Precalc. At the very least it will give me something to do with my time.
I ran 3 miles Tuesday, 4 miles Wednesday, and 5 miles Friday. Thursday I went out and bought a new pair of running shoes. They're fantastic. Fortunately, my running doesn't seem to have suffered much from my week off; my foot is feeling fine and I'm doing a pace of ~9:00. I'm down with that.
I took a short nap this evening, which probably screwed me over for the night, but whatever. I had a short dream in which I basically discovered that I had five cats and two dogs living under my bed. Plus Annie. They were ridiculously adorable. I spent a good portion of the dream wondering how they managed to survive without food/water, and then discovering that they'd been stealing Annie's food. Then one of the cats jumped up on a book shelf and I petted it. It purred. I then went and told my mother, "I have seven animals living under my bed." Then I woke up.
My interpretation: I need to pet my cats more and clean under my bed more than once a year. Pretty obvious to me!
