thrown off my week

Mood: caged

I made an executive decision to skip tonight's run. I thought I'd completely recovered from Sunday's long run... until I pulled on my running shoes. Apparently the top of my left foot (the extensor tendons) is inflamed. Ugh.

Now I'm experimenting with new ways to tie my shoes and icing my foot and feeling sorry for myself. I hope my foot gets better ASAP. Missing a run feels like... I don't know. It's just depressing.

On another note, the job search. I'm feeling very, "fuck recruiters, I'll do this shit by myself." The application for Korean public schools for February opens up pretty soon. I'm also looking at job boards. I am not going to piss away my life, god damn it!

I can see how skipping out on runs after you get so used to them would lower your mood but it's due to physical reasons not just "oh I dont want to run" so you have a reason.

You have a point... I just hate how I feel perfectly fine, but when I put on a shoe my foot hurts. Very frustrating. :(
