Mood: pleased
Music: Calvin Harris - Ready For the Weekend

I just PRed all over the place. It sounds so tawdry, doesn't it?

To celebrate, here's a post-run photo. My hair looks quite rakish, don't you think?
(Yes, I need a haircut. sigh)

Don't worry, PR means "personal record." And I've got 'em in spades!

3 miles: 27:40; old PR: 29:10
4 miles: 36:40; old PR: 38:12
Pace: 9:10

I put the "stud" in "student." Oh, wait... :'(

^ I didn't do this, but it's widely considered a good way to start out. You build your way up to running 3 miles through intervals of running/walking. Or you could do what I did and work your way up to running 3 miles through intervals of running/walking. oh, wait... :(

runners is fantastic.
http://www.runningahead.com is a fantastic way to chart your mileage + has great message boards. For an example, here's mine.
"RunningLog" app on Facebook is a good way to chart your mileage and show off.
