Mood: eh

I am in a great mood right now. Amazing, even. Fantastic. Outrageously good.

Since I got to work I totally did my take-home Ancient Egypt test. Now I have one more translation edit, one final, and one more night of work left. And then I graduate from college. Yessss!

I hung out with my friends for a change Friday night. We went to Wrong Daddy's and saw a stand-up comedy act done by a JINS class. It was good, and, best of all, I got to see Caitlin! It's been like nine years since I've seen her, no shit. Okay, more like since last semester, but whatever. Good times.

My running is going surprisingly well. I'm running a mile, non-stop, for the first time in my life. In high school I ran a 16+ minute mile, which included far less running than now. Do you know how ridiculously good it feels to have made such progress? I'm not a failure at life! I'm not! Now I just need to keep this shit up. And, better yet: learn how to run without access to a track. Yikes.

I'm so glad to hear how happy you are, Adam! And that running is AMAZING - huge props to you for keeping it up! I, um, well haven't. But this might motivate me to get myself into action. You better keep at it this summer; otherwise I'll have no one to push me! Also, seeing you on Friday was so, so good. I miss you terribly dreadfully awfully a LOT already. Can we please promise to visit one another at least once a year? Except maybe when you're in Russia, because, brr.

CAITLIN I LOVE YOU. Sorry, I'm kind of giddy right now. But. Thanks! Okay, you + me + running all summer, okay? I'll text/call you whenever I go running. I've really missed you too... you're going to be one of the people I'll miss most/remember best from college, I have to say.

Okay... how about this: we meet at least once a year, every year, starting TODAY. Anywhere in the world. I'm totally not kidding. Dude, we should go on vacations together! To like France! Where we'll do a marathon or something! And in like twenty years our kids will call us "Aunt Caitlin" and "Uncle Adam" or something adorable like that! OH MAN. Best idea ever, am I right?

E> FOREVER,
Adam

that's awesome with running!! I've been doing some running here, too, although I have no idea how far I run since I run in a forest and just measure time. However, if you are wanting to measure distance without access to a track, you can buy one of those things that count your steps/measure your distance.

And congratulations on being finished!!!!
I need to talk to you again sometime about 4th year Russian...because I seriously cannot have a conversation about peanut butter...
so what are you up to from now until graduation?

I actually do my running based partially on distance and partially on time... I've just mostly been running at the stadium track, where I'm able to calculate my distance. Last night I went for a run on the streets, and I ended up doing the same amount of time as my regular run at the track. Oh, and I actually do have a pedometer... just not here in the ville, haha.

Thank you!! Don't worry, my discussion about peanut butter was hard for me (and Jumper, for that matter), too... I was talking about the variety of foods in grocery stores, and mentioned the variety of types of peanut butter, and the conversation went on from there. Plus, Russian doesn't actually have a word/phrase for "peanut butter". We settled for масло из орехов. yeah, haha. don't worry about fourth year! since you'll be the only person there, Jumper will adapt it to your level/what you want to do.

from now til graduation... I am doing a whole lot of nothing. I'm not actually planning to walk at graduation, but yeah. just sitting around, hanging out with people on occasion, etc. nice and relaxing. :)

well, the only people who would come are my parents... and they don't especially care. I REALLY don't want to spend the money on buying everything for graduation, when I could just chill instead. I also made a deal with my parents in high school - I'd walk for my hs graduation, but not for my college graduation. It just really doesn't interest me.

Plus... the guest speaker they have this year is John Ashcroft, a conservative schmuck who okay'd torture for the government. When my mother found out he was speaking, she thanked me for not walking - she didn't want to hear him speak. And I, for one, agree, haha.
