Mood: meager

2009 has been alright thus far. I've read a few books, written some, outlined (well, re-outlined), and... that's been about it. Oh, and I went downtown again yesterday. That was entertaining.

A few days ago I went to see an eye doctor, got a new prescription, and ordered new glasses. After over an hour of angst, I ended up getting the same pair of frames I already have. Plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose, I suppose.

In 2008 I read 163 books, for a total of 54568 pages. That's 19 books more than I read in 2007. Who's yo daddy?

Things I did for the first time:
- went to Kansas City & Kansas (twice!) and Kentucky
- lived in Indiana
- went on a date (several, actually)
- kissed
- performed a sexual act
- bought alcohol
- got tipsy (this is debatable)
- lived by myself
- ... I had others, but I can't remember them right now (sigh)

First line of the first post of every month:
January: I'm still alive. Mostly.
February: "Jesus DIED for your SINS... and because of global warming."
March: Friday I had a Russian vocab quiz (which I bombed) and a French Business test (which was... well... lame).
April: A Thought: why am I such a bad student?
May: I'm down to three (3) papers left to revise.
June: Here's a little something to start your June off right: posornot.com. It's an eye opener.
July: I am really, truly, 100% in love with Russian.
August: Yet another computer has bit the dust.
September: Kansas was a lot of fun. Okay, I know, it sounds like an oxymoron, but it was.
October: Jesus H. was this week a bitch.
November: I don't especially like my plot - primarily because I don't really have one.
December: Thanksgiving was good.

My "best of music" for 2008 will come soon. Promise.

I see a reoccuring pattern with the "Jesus" titles.
