I kissed a girl just to try it, and my boyfriend minded it.

Music: Katy Perry - I Kissed a Girl

One week from today I'll be taking my final. Holy shit. I'm going to die.

Today we have yet another test, followed by verbs of motion. For the uninitiated, Russian verbs of motion are excessively difficult, which is why I'm bitching. The next week will suck, but hey, at least we only have about one week left.

Yesterday I watched Piter FM, which was ridiculously good. The version I watched was pretty bad quality, which isn't surprising, considering how it was filmed at a movie theater. Plus, I got it for free online. (Sup jail?) Furthermore, it didn't have subtitles. Fortunately I still managed to understand enough of the Russian to not be totally lost - unlike when I watched Oligarkh last week. I think I'm still going to go ahead and get a copy of it on DVD.

I finally got around to listening to Katy Perry's song "I Kissed a Girl" and... I liked it. I feel so dirty. Farewell, indie hipster cred! (Don't worry, I'm not one of those twats who is mortally offended by the mere thought of pop music. Well. Maybe a little.) Oh, and here's a(n even) gay(er) version of the song. I like the video (well, string of pictures), and the song itself makes me laugh... a lot.

I didn't like the new Facebook when I tried the beta version, so I'm going to avoid switching until they reuire it. Hopefully it'll remain optional for the time being. On the other hand, I love the new version of last.fm, which is worlds better than the last version. Plus, it doesn't take a year and a half to load. Now all we need is a new version of MySpace. Hopefully sooner rather than later. I mean, fuck, that site sucks.

I have watched Piter FM. I like that movie a lot! Except the fact that they smoke a lot there

I know! it was a great movie. I agree about the smoking, but in my experience, smoking's just more common in other countries... especially Russia.

have you heard "Ur So Gay" by Katy Perry? I really don't care for her other song- like lipstick lesbians need anymore glorifying music, bahahha, but I can see how it'd make you laugh- but that song is a huge guilty pleasure of mine. how do you switch to facebook beta? I tried and it would not let me!

p.s. thanks for the music recommendations- I remembered to check them out- really dig that "Violent and Young" by Iglu and Hardy. Thanks! (myspace is like the wal-mart of social networking sites)

I have heard it... actually, I don't exactly like the lyrics to either song (you're right, it's lipstick lesbian/bi-until-graduation nonsense, and honestly, that's half the reason I avoided the song until now - either admit you're a homo (or bi f'realz) or shut up, for christ's sake!). plus, what straight male would honestly be against a bisexual girlfriend? jesus h.

new.facebook.com should be the link to the new facebook, but a little banner popped up for me yesterday on my regular homescreen, telling me to switch over. probably it'll be working for you within a day or two? also, YAY for Violent and Young! LOVE THAT SONG. hell, even my mother loves that song.

see, I wouldn't exactly call her music the greatest thing since the Beatles, but it IS a good example of pop, and better than most of the shit out there nowadays. (and I'm saying this as someone who normally scorns American pop music... most of the music I listen to is ridiculously obscure, so yeah, take that as you will)

haha, I'll probably survive. Maybe. If I'm lucky. :'(

You're right, I have more books to write... many, many more... now, I just need to get around to writing them. :(

Hah, I remember when I was dancing several years ago, that song was really popular. One night, it was playing, and I was really kinda drunk, and remarked to one of the other dancers, "yeah, yeah, who hasn't, but what else have you done?" :P

hahahahaha, that's great.

I think the song would be better if it wasn't about experimenting with bisexuality... instead of "I kissed a girl," it should be, "I had a passionate love affair with a woman, and I hope my boyfriend don't mind it." An ode to adultury and bisexuality... hmm... it has potential.
