Music: Die Toten Hosen - Schrei Nach Liebe

Well, I finally made my great escape from Missouri. Chicago is just as boring as Kirksville, although I'm eating quite a bit more. Oh well.

I'm a materialistic person. So. Some particularly exciting things I received for Christmas:
- The World's Writing Systems by Peter T. Daniels
- two Russian newspapers and two Russian alphabet books for kids (e.g. "A is for Aardvark...")
- iPod shuffle (yes, I am slightly behind the times)
- new CDs by Beirut and Carrie Akre

My mother received Spoken Here by Mark Abley and season three of Project Runway. I will be borrowing those starting tomorrow.

Goals for this break: finish novel, finish short story, finish application(s), stop stressing out about school!, relax.

Goals for my life: become fluent in Russian, French, and maybe Georgian (or Portuguese?), explore, live.
