Music: Voxtrot - Mothers, Sisters, Daughters & Wives

I'm feeling very unsatisfied.

I hit the halfway point of War & Peace today. It's pretty much the 19th century version of a soap opera. Love! Death! Intrigue! Oh, Tolstoy.

I wrote a 6 page paper for Survey of Russian Lit this morning. The title: "The Role of Literature in Personal Identity, as it Relates to Love in Pushkin's The Blizzard and Eugene Onegin". Long and unwieldy, but damn awesome. Given another few pages I could've probably twisted the whole thing into having a feminist slant. I might actually go ahead and do that just for the hell of it.

I may be going to Lawrence, Kansas for a concert (Eisley and Mute Math) on October 5th. I'd really like to go, but I don't know whether I'll have a lot to do that weekend or not... hmm. We'll see.

i'm around, i'm around, i'm okay, i'm okay
i'm alive, i'm alive, i'm the same, i'm the same
we are, yeah, we are, we are
we are just looking for something

with our hands, and our fists, muscles, skin, thumb, and bone
we never grew up, we were cut from the stone
that holds your body and soul
we are all just looking for something
