too cool

my weekend depression / ideas

Friday after work I texted Megan. "Want to go for a walk?" "Only if it ends in food." So we walked... to Chosun University. We ate at a toast shop and stumbled across a Mexican-fusion restaurant. The quesadilla was tragic, but the burrito was delicious. We returned to Pungam where there was a bout of pre-drinking before people went downtown. Well, they drank and went downtown. I didn't drink and went home at midnight.

Saturday Megan messaged me. "Hunger Games?" Um, yes. A group of people saw the movie - which was just as good as the first time I saw it - and then Megan, Tiffany, and I went to First Nepal for dinner. Then we stopped at Sweetfinger, where my friend - the owner of the shop - gave us two free slices of pie. We went to the Kunsthalle night market next, but it was dull. I can honestly say that I've never been impressed by a market in Gwangju. Nice ideas, but failed in execution. Then a group of us went shopping. Well, they shopped, I watched... until I bought an ugly tie at one store, and the most gaudy, tacky piece of shit t-shirt at another. I just spelled "t-shirt" as "t-shit." I think that describes it very well. I'm excited to wear it non-ironically. lololol

Due to Instagram and the vast quantity of photographs of food I've taken this weekend, I've decided to start a food blog. With the exception of the GwangjuBlog, there aren't any good, informative blogs based in Gwangju or even Jeollanamdo. I think there's definitely a place for my idea in the blogosphere. I'm still trying to choose a name. My idea: GwangFood. My mom's idea is The Things I Eat: Gwangju. Tiffany's idea: Kitten Story. I'll start work on the site this week. It'll give me something to do with my spare time and an excuse to eat more food... not like I've needed an excuse before now.
