I was expecting a lot.

Here's some excellent timing for you: I'm coming down with a cold.

Reasons why I can't be sick: I work tonight, obviously (or I wouldn't be posting this) and I work from 10:30pm-6am Monday night. Monday I have a Stats test and a Russian grammar quiz/test/proverka po grammatike. I have to write a seven page paper for Russian Drama, due Tuesday, and a two page paper due Thursday. Bad timing.

Reasons why I am sick: my head is throbbing, my nose is running, my ears are clogged, my head feels like it's stuffed with cotton, my throat is aching, my mouth is dry, and 75% of my Russian class was sick last week (everyone except me). Goddammit, I don't want to be here right now. Maybe I'll get lucky and this will just be a 24-hour thing. Then again, I haven't been sick in over a year, so I'm about due for an inconveniently timed illness.

Today (Saturday) was pleasant. I read a few books, napped a little, ate some truly Amurrikan Roast Beef Hash & Eggs (I wonder what the Russian equivalent is?) and did a whole lot of nothing. How rare. How refreshing. How mind-numbingly boring. On the plus side, I didn't do a bit of studying, which really made my day/month/year/millennium. Sunday I'll probably struggle with breathing for a few hours, avoid studying, study, and then go to bed ridiculously early. Then again, except for the breathing thing, this isn't exactly unusual.
