I live about a block from where a railroad meets with two very busy roads. Today... a train hit a car at that crossing. The noise was awful. I don't know if anyone was injured or killed, but it wouldn't surprise me; a fatal accident occurs there once every year or so. I've crossed those tracks a few million times over the years, and I still find it hard to believe that someone (multiple someones, in fact) have died no less than a block away.

I leave for West Virginia tomorrow. We're only going to be there for half a week, which sucks, because I really do like it there. Then we'll be heading off to Indiana to drop me off in Bloomington for my summer program. I got my schedule the other day - I'll be in class seven hours a day, five days a week. That's seven hours of Russian a day. Holy fuck. I may die. It's going to be so much fun.

I went to the DMV this morning to renew my state ID. I was in and out within 15 minutes. That's totally a new record.
