suffocating in here

Suffocating in here.

I went on a leisurely 6.5 mile walk last night. I haven't done one of those in a few thousand years (read: since last summer). It was quite pleasant. I'm going to try to mix those long walks in with the running and the weight lifting, although I have yet to do the latter two since my return to Chicago.

Since I escaped from Kirksville, I've hung out with Kevin, got in a car accident (Kevin can be an idiot sometimes), introduced my parents to Firefly (they both love it), and read a few books. Since January 1, I've read 34 books, most of them in the first 7 days of the year/over midterm break. I want to read at least 100 this summer, which should probably be possible (what else am I going to do with my time?).

I really need to go shopping for shorts/shirts/shoes. It's currently in the 80's and I'm kinda tired of sitting around dying, and my regular shoes are definitely falling apart. Of course, shopping requires a trip to the--sigh--mall, which I am loathe to do. I hate shopping. Hate. Now, ordinarily I'd just order everything online, but I want clothing I can wear now, not when I gain or lose 20 pounds.

I wish I had just stayed in Kirksville this summer. Maybe the thing with Uncle Wade will work out? Probably not. Staying in Belington would probably kill me, but hey, at least I'd be doing something half-way interesting...
