already dead

good and evil match perfect it's a great romance.

My parents raised me to think for myself. They never taught me to believe in God. They never told to blindly trust those in positions of authority. They never had to teach me any morals--it was understood that there are some fundamental things that you just don't fuck with. No stories, no bullshit, and no blind faith. This was my childhood.

I have been cultivating some new interests as of late. Cognitive Science, Neuroscience, Basque, the history of Europe in the 13th through 15th centuries, various forms of philosophy... if last summer was "the summer of self-improvement," then this is the "summer of mental stimulation." I have already read about 50 books since the semester ended, I've been doing pretty damn well in my Psychology class, and I've been working on outlining a novel or two.

Okay, now on to the real reason I wrote this entry--I wanted to post the following quote. "You're never too young to start mistrusting people with power." - unknown
