wasn't my bullet

t-minus 5 hours and counting

I have decided to definitely take Russian next year. My new problem is choosing between Chinese and German. Both would come in useful; Chinese would probably be more useful in the years to come, German would be good if I decided to pursue a career in academia (probably following French). German would be "easy," Chinese would be "hard." German would be good for learning Yiddish, Danish, and Dutch; Chinese would be useful for communicating with 2 billion people (well, once I learn more dialects that just Mandarin).

I don't know how good I'd be at either of them, but dammit, I just wish I could take both. Hell, I wish I could learn every language on Earth. Imagine if I had ended up at Indiana: I'd probably be debating between Arabic, Hebrew, Estonian, Russian, and Kazakh right now. Mmm. Estonian.

So. German or Chinese?

In other news, I love French, I need to study for Art History ASAP!!!!, I ran 3 miles last night, pollen is trying to kill me (o, new-found allergies...), and The Roommate is still asleep. What the fuck.

wasn't my bullet

MWF 9:30-10:20 GERM 130 Elementary German I
MTWRF 10:30-11:20 RUSS 115 Elementary Russian I
MWF 1:30-2:20 MATH 156 College Algebra
MW 4:30-5:50 COMM 170 Public Speaking
TR 12:00-1:20 FREN 320 French Composition & Conversation I

So I guess I chose German.

16 credits; no class until 9:30 on MWF and 10:30 on TR. Three of the classes will be in Violette, one in Baldwin, and one in McClain. It's not exactly the best schedule, but whatever. I'll keep checking TruView over the summer to see if an Algebra class opens up that isn't quite so late in the day.

And now I have to study for Art History. I need to get an A on this test if I want an A in the class. Dammit...
