this is me

uh oh here we go again

Life is life is life. I am currently waiting for Kendal to get here so we can go running. I should be doing Chem or PoliSci but goddamn, I really don't want to.

So now I'm collaborating with M on my next novel... it should be pretty fun; I've never collaborated with anyone on a piece of writing before. I am currently working on character development, which is something I've never tried before. My character is going to be as different from me as I can possibly stand. We have a sorta-prompt and we will each interpret it in different ways to write our own versions of the first chapter (which will be due on April 9) and we will decide which was best and switch off chapters from there on out, using that person's interpretation. We each will have our own character. I'm looking forward to this!

I have been thinking a lot today about Nursing and Communication Disorders. I don't actually know what I want to do; all I know is that I need to calm down and realize that even if I don't like whatever profession I end up choosing over the next few years, I can always change it later. Plus, there's always grad school.

I pretty much bombed my Art History pop quiz today. My excuse: she didn't post the images to Blackboard. How can you study if you don't have the images to study from? Oh well.

My contacts are really bugging me, but I don't want to take them out until after I run. Do you know how annoying it is to exercise with glasses on? Ack. It's a total pain in the ass (er, nose), especially with my new frames. I doubt the running will even take all that long, since we're so out of shape. Maybe a half an hour, at best? I'll talk to Kendal about mixing in some walking with the running, instead of non-stop running. Hmm.

This weekend was pretty mediocre. Kendal, Kyle, and I watched Chain Reaction Saturday evening. It's this absolutely horrible Keanu Reeves movie from the mid-90s. We've decided to begin to watch and review "bad" movies on a regular basis. Wal-Mart $5 DVD bin, here we come! On Sunday, The Roommate went to church 6 hours early and made it back by 1pm, so I lost a good portion of my normal relaxation day. What a twat. A good television show I saw yesterday: Heist. Seriously, it's excellent--great acting, good plot, and tons of humor. I'm looking forward to seeing more.
