Yet another "I was going to post this as a Facebook status but decided it belongs here instead" post.

I keep seeing people posting about the Brock rape case and Bernie vs. Hillary. How about instead of posting about it on Facebook you actually go out and do something about it? Instead of being outraged by one rape case, why not be outraged by the thousands that never even make it to the police, let alone court, due in no small part to societal victim shaming and blaming? If you claim you're a "liberal" and hate Hillary so much, why on earth would you refuse to vote - thereby letting Donald "I'm going to make the USA even more of an international laughing stock than it already is" Trump win, making America even farther away from the Bernie Sanders liberal paradise we all want? I understand that Facebook, Twitter, and social media in general are useful on a grassroots level, for increasing awareness and providing a forum for free speech, but if you refuse to participate in influencing change in the real world, you're no better than the people you're railing against. Change isn't going to happen all at once - it's a gradual process that requires a lot of time and effort. Now go join a picket line and prepare yourself to vote for who you think is the best of two evils, assholes.
