I'm washing my mouth out with soap as we speak.

The week is over! Thank the FSM it's Friday. Well, practically Saturday now.

A Story: I tend to be very good at names - back when I worked in the dorms I could check someone in once and I knew their entire name from that point on. However, these days I have something like 25 different classes with 4 to 15 kids in each. That's a whole lotta names. I know most of their names by now, but today I kept confusing James with Peter. I was yelling - I do that when I'm teaching, I get enthusiastic and motion and gesture and yell, which is actually the sort of thing teachers I didn't particularly like back in the day did, but it keeps me awake so I'm okay with it - and when I called James Peter for the fifth time I yelled, "DAMMIT!"

I don't think any of the kids knew what I said, but they got the gist of the idea. Unfortunately.

In other news, I am beginning to lose my voice. This is probably a result of my cold... and my distressing habit of yelling obscenities in class.

If I were to ever consider teaching I would probably get fired because I wouldn't be able to keep from swearing and wanting to kick kids out of my class. Even though I would love to see if I could teach english or theater hah.
I hope you start feeling better soon and your voice comes back.

haha, I'm usually really good at not swearing - but it just slipped out. eeeeh. But yeah, trust me, every teacher wants to kick kids out of their class. trufax.

If I ever end up back in the US, I think I'd like to keep teaching ESL to kids in elementary/middle school. or maybe I'd just be a regular elementary school teacher. ehh we'll see.
