Mood: 진짜 피곤해

The last few days... good lord.

First, Tuesday. We took our finals in the morning and I believe I did fairly well. Vocab/grammar, reading, and listening were all pretty easy. Writing... well, I'll find out how I did on Monday.

After finals, Kay, Dulce and I went to a budongsan (real estate agent) to look for apartments. This was a budongsan recommended by their teacher. We told her what we wanted and she took us to 6 different apartments. The big issues: we needed 3/4 rooms, a 9 month contract, and a "full option" (air-conditioning, washing machine, fridge). The 9 month contract was doable, but the full-option was not... or vice versa. Or we ended up with places that had construction going on next door/inside the building itself. Not good.

After about 3 hours of this, we left the budongsan with 3 very bad options. I urged Kay and Dulce to go to another budongsan - "Let's finish the motherfucker" were my exact words - and we walked down the street until we found a random one. We walked in, said what we wanted, and she took us a few different places. The very first place (of four) that we saw had it all. No fridge or washing machine, but it's across from a laundromat and fridges are cheap.

Wednesday we had the closing ceremony. My Korean music class sang couple songs (고향의 봄과 아리랑/송포유). My roommate performed twice and his groups got 1st and 3rd place in the talent show. After this we had to take an English business test (I don't know... requirement of NIIED I guess) which was really quite simple for me, but I felt bad for everyone else because, well, they're not here to study English... they're here to study Korean. Then we gathered our group + a Korean friend (미영) and went to look at the apartment. We checked, then we signed the contract. Well, I signed it. Eek. I'm legally responsible for this place now. Somebody hold me.

Today and tomorrow we have a trip to Seoul with the KGSP/NIIED program which I really, really, really don't want to go on, but it's free, so I might as well go. Saturday our lease officially starts, we we'll start moving in. Sunday we'll have to be out of the dorm. Oh my god. So much to do and so little time. Vacation is only 1 week and I'm not going to have any time to do any recovering. Christ.
